Offering ‘A Taste for Life’ on Wednesday

By Richard Coffin

Wednesday is a big day for the AIDS Committee of North Bay and Area.

That’s when the 18th annual A Taste for Life fundraiser is taking place.

After 5 pm on April 15, 25% of food and alcohol sales at participating restaurants will be donated back to the committee, supporting harm reduction programs for people in the community.

Five restaurants are taking part.

They include The Fox and Fiddle, Sukhdev Restaurant, My Thai Palace, The Crown and Beaver, and Lot 88.

Several community leaders, including Deputy Mayor Maggie Horsfield, Police Chief Daryl Longworth and several others, are hosting at each of the restaurants.
