Ontario Teachers Federation Board continues to have Local Representation

By Richard Coffin

A local secondary teacher continues to represent the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association (OECTA) at the provincial level.

Rick Belisle, with the union’s Nipissing Secondary unit, has been re-elected as a governor with the Ontario Teachers’ Federation (OTF) board.

OECTA represents 45,000 teachers in Ontario’s publicly funded English Catholic schools while OTF represents more than 160,000 teachers in both French and English, Catholic and public schools across the province.

The 2025-27 term starts in July.
