Ontario’s wish list for ‘Santa’

By Richard Coffin Tuesday, Dec. 24th, 2024

Premier Doug Ford, dressed in a Santa suit, is promoting unity and detailing the province’s wish list in his annual Christmas message to Ontarians.

“As we look ahead to another new year, here’s what we’re working on to bring you good cheer,” Ford writes on social media.

A series of issues are highlighted by various cabinet ministers, including Vic Fedeli, Nipissing MPP and Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade Minister.

He’s asking for investments in electric vehicle manufacturing and mineral resources.

Other ministers are looking for solutions to gridlock, the expansion of nuclear power generation and electrification, investments in skilled trades training and programs and the expansion of health care services.
