Open house celebrates Catholic education in North Bay

The history of Catholic education in North Bay is on display this weekend.

The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School is hosting a community open house on Saturday.

It’s titled ‘Catholic Education Through the Decades’.

Officials say there will be guided tours of school sites, historical artifacts, stories, and displays highlighting generations of students, families, parishes, and staff who have shaped local Catholic schools.

The open house takes place from 10 am to 2 pm at the Heritage Board Office site and St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School.

The event is being held as part of the city’s Centennial celebrations.
