OPP conducting community satisfaction surveys

OPP conducting community satisfaction surveys

The OPP is looking to gauge community satisfaction around the northeast. Community Satisfaction Surveys are scheduled to start this month, soliciting public opinions about the services Ontario Provincial Police detachments deliver to communities throughout the region.

Officials say selected households will be mailed a survey invitation that can be completed online or by calling a toll-free 1-800 number.

A variety of issues are touched on in the survey including:

  • Community security
  • Perceptions of crime and youth issues in the community
  • OPP presence in the community
  • Service delivery
  • How the OPP investigates crime and enforces the law

Results from the survey will be used in the OPP's Business and Action plans, as well as the Annual Report.

“The information will also be useful in helping OPP's North East Region set out goals and objectives to improve on the services it delivers to communities across the region,” states a release.

The OPP says the surveys are expected to be completed by the end of the year.
