OPP warning of suspicious activity in the Powassan area

North Bay OPP are reminding residents to make sure their doors and windows are locked after reports of suspicious activity in the Powassan area.  

Ontario Provincial Police say around 4 am on Wednesday, an unknown person was seen opening a screen door at a residence on Elm Street.   

Later that same day, at about 10 pm, one or possibly two people, were seen roaming around homes on Birch Street, looking into windows and attempting to open doors.

Residents are urged to report any suspicious activity to police. 

Anyone with security camera footage or any information related to these incidents, or victims of a break-in, are asked to contact the OPP in Powassan at 1-888-310-1122.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or online at www.ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
