OUELLETTE, LEO
Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of his family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Monday, May 25, 2026, at the age of 90 years. Leo was the loving father to Suzanne Bastarache (Steve), and Carole Ouellette (Rob). He was the cherished grandfather to his 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Leo is predeceased by his siblings Omer Ouellette (late June), Rhea Gault (late Jim), as well as his parents Orval Ouellette and Alma (nee Lebel) Ouellette. He is survived by his younger brother, Ron Ouellette (Pat).
He had many careers from a Milkman, a TTC driver, to ending his work life spending 22 years as the Concierge for the Manulife Centre in Toronto. He was a devoted congregant of St. Vincent’s Church and dedicated member of Les Chevalier de Colomb. He will take with him many memories of family vacations, playing golf, cards and those infamous fishing trips with his nephews.
As per Leo’s wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Saturday May 30, 2026, between the hours of 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. A celebration of life will follow at 12:30 pm in the McGuinty Funeral Home Chapel. The family would like to extend their utmost gratitude to the team of B1, Willow, at North Bay Regional Health Centre, for their grace and kindness to help support him through his final journey. If desired, donations to the Canadian Lung Association would be gratefully acknowledged by his family. Online condolences can be made at www.mcguintyfuneralhome.com.
