Over $200,000 in suspected drugs seized by city police
City police have seized $206,000 worth of suspected drugs after a traffic stop last Thursday.
The North Bay Police Service says the Street Crime Unit stopped a vehicle on Highway 11 near Powassan after a lengthy drug trafficking investigation in the North Bay, West Nipissing and Nipissing First Nation.
Suspected Fentanyl, Crystal Methamphetamine, cocaine and crack cocaine were seized by police along with a 2024 Jeep Compass.

A 34-year-old Hamilton woman is facing four drug trafficking counts.
“We are committed to the safety of this community, and this investigation reflects the exceptional work and dedication of our Street Crime Unit,” says Insp. Scott McFarlane. “By intercepting these drugs before they reach our streets, our members are helping to save lives and keep our community safe.”
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
