Over 42,000 people took in a Capitol event last year

2024-25 was a season of growth for the Capitol Centre.  

That from officials with the downtown entertainment and arts hub, who say over 42,000 people took in a ticketed event last year.  

They also say they had a record number of volunteers, 117, compared to the previous mark of 84 set the year before.  

Meantime, the Capitol Centre launched its 2025-26 line-up of events this week.  

Upcoming shows include comedians, musicals, concerts, and more.

Tickets go on sale to the public at noon on June 10. 

A couple of exhibits are also underway at the WKP Kennedy Gallery, including one celebrating the city’s centennial.  

100 Yrs/100 Perspectives: Square Foot Show (Gallery II) includes artworks that capture the essence of the city, including its landscapes, landmarks, people and culture.
