Paul McLuhan
October 2, 1964 – December 7, 2025
It is with great sadness that the family of Paul McLuhan announces his passing on December 7th, 2025, at the age of 61. Paul left this world peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Paul was a proud and devoted father to Troy and Kurtis, and a loving father figure to Chloe Dion. He is survived by his mother, Doreen; his siblings, Shawn and Heidi (Steve) McArthur; and his nieces; Taylor, Nicole, Emma, and Megan, each of whom held a special place in his heart. He was predeceased by his father, Robert, and by his brother Jeff (Brenda).
Paul spent many dedicated years working at Fabrene, where he formed friendships and earned the respect of his coworkers. Outside of work, Paul embraced life with enthusiasm and generosity. He was a dedicated hockey dad who poured his heart into supporting his boys at the rink. A lifelong fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, he cheered faithfully through many disappointments.
In the summer months, Paul loved playing golf, going for bike rides, and spending time by the pool. During the winter, if he wasn’t watching hockey, he could be found skiing, snowshoeing or skating. His warmth, humour, and joyful spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who supported Paul throughout his courageous fight. Special thanks to Dr. Jinnah, Dr. Kotsios, the exceptional staff at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice—especially Jenn—and to friends Paul and Judy Courchesne, along with many others for their kindness and care.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Rd, North Bay.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by his family.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
As per the families request, please come casually dressed.
