Pedestrian-train collision sends two people to hospital

The North Bay Police Service reports two people were taken to hospital after a collision involving a train and a pedestrian on Wednesday.

Area police and emergency crews responded to the area of Couchie Memorial Drive and Main Street West at about 11 am.

Police say one person suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries while the other person received precautionary medical care.

They say to protect the privacy of those involved, no further information will be released.
