Peter A. Murphy
Peter A. Murphy, age 60, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 16th, 2026, at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice, surrounded by his family, following a hard battle with cancer.
Peter was the loving son of the late Ira and Reta (Rice) Murphy. Born on August 1st, 1966, in New Brunswick.
Peter is survived by the love of his life, Sandy Lawrence and his beloved children and stepchildren. Dhanielle Walsh-Murphy (Calgary), Jonah Murphy (North Bay), and Samantha Murphy-Lacelle (Connor) of North Bay. Tyler Watson (North Bay) and Katie Watson (Nicholas) of North Bay. He was the proud and loving grandfather to Reed and Josephine, who brought so much joy to his life.
He is also survived by his sister Sheila Cameron (the late Ken); his brother, David Murphy (Ginny); and his sister, Sharon Mitton (Todd). Peter was predeceased by his brothers, Paul and John,
He will be fondly remembered by his adored nieces and nephews, Michael, Sarah, Alan and Jessica along with his extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.
Resting at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay), where his visitation will take place on Wednesday October 21, 2026, between the ours of 12pm – 1pm followed by a memorial service at 1 pm.
