Phyllis Marie Weeks
It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of their dear mother, Phyllis Marie Weeks, (December 6th, 1939 - December 24th, 2025 at Eastholme, Home for the Aged, in Powassan, Ontario. Phyllis was a cherished mother to Nat, Judy (Larry) and Wendy (Brian). Her beautiful daughter, Wendy, sadly passed earlier this year. Phyllis was a loving grandmother to Stephanie (Scott), Christopher and Brad (Tanika) and great-grandmother to Claire, Audrey, Ava and Bennett and grand-puppy, Andy, who all brought her much joy.
Phyllis (affectionately called Phyl) was born in Loggieville, New Brunswick, however, lived most of her adult life in Ontario. She is survived by her dear sister Shirley (Ken) and is remembered with love by her nieces and nephews living close and afar from her 8 siblings.
Phyl began her career in the banking industry at just 17 and went on to retire from the Royal Bank after an impressive and dedicated career, marked by her strong work-ethic and genuine love of working with people. It was there that she met her dear friend Linda. Phyl was blessed with another dear friend, Lynne, both of whom she shared marathon phone calls, fun adventures and lots of laughs.
Phyl was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crosswords, board puzzles and watching a good Leafs game. She was a private person who loved her family, neighbours and her home. She loved every dog she met and was the designated dog sitter during family vacations.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the caregivers at Eastholme and the North Bay Regional Health Centre for such loving compassionate care and kindness to their mother and to the family. The family will be forever grateful for their support.
As per Phyl’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Eastholme, Home for the Aged and/or The North Bay Regional Health Centre in Phyl’s memory will be greatly acknowledged by the family.
