PLANTE, Rodrigue

Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of his family at the West Nipissing General Hospital (Sturgeon Falls) on Sunday July 26, 2026, at the age of 82 years.

Rodrigue was the beloved husband of Jeanne (née Audette) Plante and the loving father to Rachel Bertrand (Rene), Gilbert Plante (Tammy), Daniel Plante (Francoise), and Luc Plante. He was the cherished grandfather to Jean-Luc, Alain, Suzanne, Stéphanie, Danielle, Manon, Patrick, Jessica, Michelle, Brittany, and great-grandfather to Anabelle, Danika, Zakary, Zoé, Kaleb, Brielle, Jason, Daniel, Maéva, Nico, Cédric, and Nixon. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Cécile, Annette, Hubert, Yvon and Christine. Rodrigue is predeceased by his parents William Plante and Maria (nee Lapierre) Plante and brothers and sisters Albias, Marcel, Claire, Fleurette, Dorilé, Claude, Fernand, Camille, Gilles, Vital, Etienne, Maurice and Roch.

As per Rodrigue’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be announced at a later date.
