Plunging into ice cold water for Special Olympics

Teams of people are taking the Polar Plunge into ice cold water this weekend in North Bay.

All funds from Saturday’s event will go directly toward the 2027 Special Olympics Ontario Provincial Winter Games being hosted by the North Bay Police Service next January.

Officials say the goal is to raise $50,000.

The Polar Plunge takes place at the NUSU Student Centre on College Drive.

Registration begins at 11:30 am.
