Podium finishes for Local Ski Racers

Several North Bay Ski Racing Club athletes collected podium finishes at 9th Antoine Classic in Mattawa last weekend.
Grant Park was first in U14 men’s slalom, Alisha Windsor was first in both women’s Special Olympics slalom and giant slalom.
In U16 women’s, Lauren Moore had second (giant slalom) and third (slalom) place finishes while in U14, Lexine Gauthier was 3rd in giant slalom and in U12, Emma Chute was 3rd in slalom.
Along with the North Bay area, racers came from Sudbury, Elliot Lake, Sault Ste. Marie, Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec for the event.
Next up, some local athletes will be competing at the U14 provincial championship in Collingwood and U16 event in Sault Ste. Marie during the week of March Break.
