Police asking for public’s help identifying two men

By Richard Coffin

City police are looking to identify two men after an attempt to buy cartons of cigarettes with fraudulent gift cards.

The North Bay Police Service was contacted after the pair went to an Algonquin Avenue business just after noon on April 8.

They say alert staff members recognized the men from a Be-On-the-Look-Out (BOLO) issued after a similar situation in the Toronto area.

Police say after the men realized they had been recognized they left the store and drove away in a Black Dodge Durango with Ontario license plate DECH 806.

They were captured on CCTV with police asking the public for help in identifying them.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the North Bay Police Service at 705-497-5555 and press 5 to speak to an officer.
