Police identify driver of grey Jetta

The North Bay Police Service says it has arrested a young person in connection with a dangerous driving incident last week.

The North Bay Police Service (NBPS) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the driver involved in a dangerous incident at a local high

Police earlier reported a vehicle sped through the parking lot behind St. Joseph-Scollard Hall and nearly hit three students and a pole on Friday morning.

They say with the public’s help they were able to locate the registered owner of the vehicle and identify the driver.

“This scenario demonstrates how quickly and effectively we can resolve investigations when the community works together with our members,” says Insp. Scott McFarlane. “Thanks to the information shared by the public, we were able to bring this matter to a safe and successful conclusion in a very short period of time.”

The accused was arrested and released on an undertaking with a future court date.
