Police investigating over $50,000 in damages at local ski hill

The North Bay Police Service is investigating after over $50,000 worth of damage was done to copper piping at Laurentian Ski Hill.

Police say officers responded on Tuesday after ski hill staff discovered extensive damage to piping running from a pump hose to a cooli ng system used to produce snow.

It’s believed the damage occurred sometime between Sept. 1 and Sept. 15.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have information about the incident, or who may have video surveillance or dashcam footage from the area during this timeframe, to contact the NBPS at 705-497-5555, select option 5 to speak with an officer.
