Police stop vehicle going more than double the speed limit on Lakeshore

The North Bay Police Service has charged a person with stunt driving after their vehicle was clocked going 55 km/h over the speed limit recently on Lakeshore Drive.

Police say the vehicle was going 95 km/h in the posted Community Safety Zone, which is 40 km/h.

Along with a future court appearance, officials say the driver’s vehicle was impounded for 14 days and their driver’s licence suspended for 30 days, with towing and storage costs at the owner’s expense.
