Priscille Azeline Truchon

Priscille Azeline Truchon

1930-2025

A gentle and loving wife, mother, Memére, sister, aunt and friend, who treasured her family and her faith, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025 in her 96th year, at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice.

Beloved wife of seventy years to Victor (predeceased). Loving mother of Gisèle Ferguson (Larry) and Gilles (Carol). Dearest Memére of Monique Dubytz (Georges), Michael Ferguson (Amy Adams), Lisa Szpytko (Adam), Max Truchon (Erika), Phil Truchon (Jessica Cutler) and Bridget. Grand Memére to Félix, Zoé, Levi, Léo, Ethan, Victor, Cedric, Sofia and Carlos.

Predeceased by her parents, Pascal and Justine (Pigeau) Levesque. Priscilla was the second youngest in her family and was predeceased by her sisters Laurence, Jeanne, Simone, Alexina, Rita, Mayva and her brothers Adéa (Joe), Ivain, Lionel, Armand and Eddy.

Cherished by her sisters-in-law Diane Truchon, Sandra (Truchon) and Irene (Truchon). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Throughout the years, “family” was central and family gatherings for holidays and any occasion delighted her. If music or singing was involved, all the better! A road trip to Bracebridge was always welcomed! Priscilla also enjoyed “life on the lake” every summer.

Priscilla genuinely loved interacting with the many people she encountered throughout her working life. She was passionate about numerous hobbies, including a major writing project, and gifted many with her creations.

She really appreciated being part of the Empire Living family, and the respect and loving care provided to her by the staff. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice for all they did for our mom and in supporting us during her last days. A very special thank-you to Dr. Jinnah for her tender care. We also wish to thank the staff at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.

The Truchon family will be receiving family & friends at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Rd, on Friday March 7th from 2 until 4 pm and 6 until 8 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday March 8th at Paroisse St-Vincent-de-Paul at 10 am.

Donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice would be gratefully appreciated.
