REMAX expecting a drop in home prices in North Bay

North Bay is one area in Ontario expected to see house prices drop this fall.
That’s according to the REMAX Fall Housing Market Update.
Officials say prices in this area are expected to decline by 2%.
Sudbury is one of several markets where the cost could go up.
Across Canada, REMAX says average homes prices are expected to decrease by 6.5% this fall, while sales are expected to drop by 5% by the end of the year.
About two thirds of housing markets experienced a year-over-year decline in sales, with REMAX Canada brokers and agents noting a rise in price reductions and conditional sales throughout 2025.
The report says improved affordability and a boost in inventory levels could entice cautious buyers.
