Rheault, Marie Germaine (née Groulx)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Marie Germaine Rheault (née Groulx) at Au Château in Sturgeon Falls, with her loving family by her side, on May 4th, 2026 at the age of 88 years.

Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Laurent Rheault. She was a devoted and loving mother to Joanne Rheault (Walt Bordian), Raymond (Christina), and Jeannine Lowe (Michael).

She will be dearly missed by her cherished grandchildren  Sarah Lowe, Brandon Lowe, and Mireille Song (Angel/Maurice).

Marie is survived by her brother Raymond (Elise) and sister Jacqueline Trudel (Fred). Marie is predeceased by her parents Emile and Lydia Groulx and siblings Bernadette Perron (Philippe), Alcide (Pauline), Gabriel (Rita), Lucienne, Lucien (Bernadette) and Germain (Jacqueline).

Marie was a dedicated and compassionate retired Registered Nurse Assistant who took great pride in caring for others throughout her career at St. Joseph’s General Hospital in North Bay.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Au Château for their kindness and care.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m on Saturday, May 9th , 2026 at Hillside Funeral Services followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery alongside her late husband Laurent.

Donations in memory of Marie can be made to the MS Society or the North Bay Regional Health Centre and will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
