Ringler, Wesley “Wes” Travis William

It is with profound sadness that we share the unexpected passing of Wesley “Wes” Travis William Ringler on February 19, 2026, at the age of 41.

Born in North Bay on June 14, 1984, Wesley grew up surrounded by the people and places that meant the most to him. He attended Widdifield Secondary School, graduating in 2002, and later earned his Welder–Fitter diploma from Canadore College. He began his welding career with G&P Welding and Ironworks in North Bay, eventually moving to Calgary to work with SECURE Energy Services. After several years out west, Wesley returned to the community he loved most—his hometown of North Bay.

From a young age, Wesley was known for his generous spirit and his willingness to lend a hand. He cherished the time he spent with his grandparents over the years, creating memories that stayed close to his heart. He was also always quick to help neighbours, whether it was shoveling snow in the winter or cutting their lawns in the summer, and he did it all with a kind heart and no expectation of anything in return.

Wesley had a love for the outdoors. Whether he was fishing, tending to his garden, or simply spending time outside with friends, he found joy in the simplest moments.

Wesley will be forever missed by his grandfather, Earl Johnston, and his father, Terry Ringler. He was predeceased by his mother, Lynn Ringler. He leaves behind his sisters, Meredith Kissel (Dave) and Emily Ringler, along with his niece, Elizabeth Kissel, and his nephew, Henry Kissel, who he cared for deeply. He will also be lovingly remembered by his extended family and the many friends whose lives he touched.

As per Wesley’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Wesley’s memory may be made to Chat4Chad (chat4chad.ca) and would be sincerely appreciated by his family.
