Rivet, André (Andy)

Rivet, André (Andy)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of André surrounded by his family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Sunday, September15, 2024, at the age of 73.

Loving husband of 47 years to Estelle (nee Chartrand). Beloved father of Mario (Caelin), and the best pepere to Jackson and Danica. He is predeceased by his son, Luc, parents Constance (nee Joanisse) and Jean-Paul, and brothers, Paul (Lorraine) and Daniel (Linda). He will be sadly missed by his brothers Marcel (Lynne) of Casselman, Stephane of Carleton Place, Claude (Mona) of Prince Albert, his sister Jocelyne of Kapuskasing, and many nieces, nephews, friends and in-laws.

Andy loved life, and he had a sense of humour that would light up any room. He worked for many years in industrial chemicals as a water treatment specialist, and was later the proud owner of a local spa and tanning studio, called Northern Comfort Studio. After retirement, his love of hockey brought him back to the arena where he time kept for the Lakers University Hockey, and worked as event staff at the Battalion games. Andy and Estelle were avid boaters for over 30 years. When it was time to park the boat, they fell in love with camping and would travel across the province, enjoying time at many beautiful camp sites. Spending time with his grandchildren meant the world to him, and they were the absolute joy of his life. He was a caring man, always willing to help anyone in need. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd on Thursday September 18th, 2024 from 10am until 12pm. A celebration of his life will be held at 12pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North Bay Regional Health Centre Cancer Care Fund or the Cardiac Fund and will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
