Robert Becker
The family of Robert sadly announces the death of a brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and brother in-law. He is predeceased by his father George Becker, Mother Florence (nee Turner) Becker, brother Monty Becker (Flo), and sister Brenda Chum. Robert will be dearly missed by sisters, Betty Barwell (Gary), Sarah Barteaux (Len), Karen Bines, Sharon Merkley (Dave), Carrieann Dunlup (Dave) and Dorothy Becker, and brothers Francis Becker, Allan Becker, Barry Becker (Cheryl) and Dean Becker.
Robert was a courageous fighter, fighting cancer for 5 years right to the bitter end. He had many friends in North Bay. His jokes and laughter will be remembered by us all. He lived a life of laughter. A life of many miles, of bicycle riding, rising in the early morning to not miss hours in a day.
The family of Robert would like to thank the Nipissing Serenity Hospice for the special care he received since September 11, 2024, to March 5, 2025. Nurse Natalie and staff, along with Dr. Moore, and Dr. Jinnah as well as Carla at Guardian Drugs who looked after all his medication needs.
The family would also like to thank Dorothy Becker for never leaving his side while he was at the Hospice.
As per Robert’s wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will be holding a celebration of life at 120 Massey Dr. (in the common room) on Saturday, March 22, 2025, beginning at 1:00 pm.
