Rolande Marcil Rioux

Rolande Marcil Rioux

In Loving Memory of Rolande Marcil Rioux

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rolande Marcil Rioux, who peacefully left this world surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Gaspé, Quebec, in 1945, Rolande was one of fourteen children and carried throughout her life the values of family, hard work, and faith. She was predeceased by her former husband Bernard Marcil, with whom she built a loving home and raised a devoted family.

Rolande was a proud and dedicated mother to her four sons, John, André, François, and Steve. Together, she and Bernard worked tirelessly to provide their children with every opportunity in life, making countless sacrifices to ensure each of their sons could succeed in life.

A natural caregiver, Rolande devoted her life to helping others. In addition to raising her own family, she opened her heart and home as a foster parent to many children over the years, providing love, guidance, and stability to those in need.

Rolande was also a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother who found immense joy in spending time with her growing family.

A woman of strong faith, Rolande was actively involved in her church community and was a devoted member of the church choir. She found great comfort and happiness in sharing her voice, her faith, and her friendship with others.

Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on through her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Cassellholme for the support and care provided to Rolande during these last few months of her life.

The family asks that, in memory of Rolande, you consider making a donation to Cassellholme in her name. A private family service will take place at a later date. Online condolences can be made at www.hillsidefuneral.ca

Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
