S.I.U Investigating Death of Man In North Bay
The province’s Special Investigations Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 42-year-old man yesterday in North Bay. Preliminary information suggests the following:
On the morning of January 12, 2024, the man was transported from the North Bay Jail to the court cell block. Later in the day, the man suffered a medical incident. He was provided with medical care and taken to hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
One investigator and one forensic investigator have been assigned to the case. The investigation is ongoing.
