Saint-Jean Festival lined up for Saturday
Les Compagnons des francs loisirs is gearing up its Saint-Jean Festival.
Everyone is invited to the Kiwanis Bandshell at the waterfront on Saturday, June 20 (12 pm to 5 pm) as Francophones locally and across the country celebrate their language and traditions.
“We now have some large tents so we will be set up rain or shine,” says Anne Brûlé, Assistant Director of Programming. “We’ve got music, dancing, inflatables, vendors and activities of all sorts.”

Several local artists will be peforming:
– Unison
– Eric Foisy
– Zach Lebel
– Jenna Seppa
– Katryne and her friends
– Big Move Dance
– Star Academy
– Singing Café
“We’ve got a lot of local talent that we’re pleased to showcase,” says Brûlé. “Finishing the season of the 50th anniversary of the Franco-Ontarian Flag we’ve been featuring a lot of Franco-Ontarian musicians.”
She says in the lead up to Saturday’s event, there’s a couple of concerts with Gabrielle Goulet on Thursday at Leisure Farms in Sturgeon Falls and 406 First Ave. West in North Bay on Friday.
Both shows take place from 8-9 pm.
They’re free with donations being accepted.
