Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park won’t reopen this season

Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park will remain closed for the rest of the 2025 season.

That announcement from the park on social media, pointing to the magnitude of damage from the June 21 storm.

Officials say the storm, which included a microburst, resulted in extensive tree damage and hazardous conditions.

They add they understand the closure will affect many people’s plans and apologize for the inconvenience.
