Santa Fund reaches its goal

Santa Fund reaches its goal

By Richard Coffin

The North Bay Santa Fund says the 77th campaign this past holiday season was a success.

The fund’s committee says they reached their fundraising goal of $175,000, allowing them to deliver over 375 hampers to local families in need.

Officials say that helped touch the lives of 2,000 people in our community.

They add the community spirit shone brightly on Dec. 22 when volunteers packed the hampers within three hours, with long lines of volunteers the next day ready to deliver them.

“The smiles on the faces of those we met will last a lifetime,” states a release from the committee. “We’re immensely grateful to the citizens of North Bay for coming together to make this happen.”

Officials extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported the North Bay Santa Fund, saying their generosity has made a tangible difference and is bringing hope and happiness to so many.
