Several seatbelt-related charges after area traffic stop
A recent traffic stop in the area resulted in a handful of people being charged with seatbelt-related counts.
The North Bay OPP says around 11:30 am on Aug. 5 officers stopped a vehicle with eight people inside.
Police say four adults and two children from Brampton were not wearing seatbelts.
That resulted in the driver being charged with two counts of driving while a passenger under 16 fails to wear a seatbelt, and one charge for failing to move over for an emergency vehicle.
Four adult passengers were charged for not wearing their seatbelts.
