In Loving Memory of Rolande Shank. (June 21,1953- January 16, 2024)

In her 71st year, Rolande gained her angel wings on January 16, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.

 Rolande was born in Windsor, Ontario and moved with her siblings and parents to Bonfield, Ontario when she was a young girl. She was the fourth of 13 children.

 Rolande can be remembered by her striking dark hair, beautiful blue eyes and vivacious personality. Her cooking was always well received by her children and grandchildren. When she was young, Rolande had a passion for singing. Her siblings hold such wonderful memories of growing up listening to her beautiful voice.

 Rolande was predeceased by her father, Thomas Shank. There is great comfort in knowing she is reunited with him. Rolande is survived by her mother, Jacqueline Shank. She leaves behind 5 children: Steven Deroche (Carrie Butt-Deroche), Thomas Shank (Julie Cormier), Tammy Deroche, Melinda O’Riordan (Patrick O’Riordan), and Justin Shank (Tabitha Shank) as well as her much adored grandchildren: Sage Roberge, Logan Deroche, JackLyn Derosier, Jace Butt, Marcus Deroche, Madison Deroche, Mayson Migneault, Wyatt O’Riordan, Desyree Shank, Peyton Shank, Lucas Shank, and Benson Shank.

 Being the first of her siblings to pass, Rolande leaves behind 12 siblings: Gerald Shank (Liliane), Denise Berg-Shank, Marguerite Jenner (Hal), Renee Brook (Wendy), Marc Shank (Carol), Marcel Shank (Michelle), Andre Shank (Sylvie Arsenault), Gabrielle Labrosse (Daniel), Ginette Kile (Scott), Jocelyne Shank (Steven Lewin), Conrad Shank (Cheryl Almeida), Francine Dutton and many nieces and nephews.

 Visitation will be held at Hillside Funeral Services on Tuesday, January 23rd , 2024 from 3pm until 5pm.  Funeral service will follow at 5pm also at Hillside.

 In Lieu of flowers donations to the NBRHCF in memory of Rolande would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
