Sharleen Constantineau
With deep love and sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Sharleen Constantineau (née Clark), who passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Lakeridge Health in Bowmanville, at the age of 85. Sharleen was surrounded by loved ones, held in the care and comfort of those who meant the most to her.
Born in Sudbury on May 28, 1941, Sharleen was the second child of James and Antoinette “Billie” Clark. She carried her northern roots with pride throughout her life and built a legacy shaped by devotion, laughter, compassion, and an unmistakable love for her family.
Sharleen is survived by her daughters, Kim (Jeramy) and Cathy (Jesse), and by her cherished grandchildren, Parker and Payton, who brought her immeasurable pride and joy.
She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Joann (Bill) Elliott and Kevin (Terry) Clark, her sister-in-law Dulcie Clark, and her brother-in-law Geoff Sykes.
Sharleen was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Daniel; her brother Bud Clark; her sister Judy Filiatrault; her brother-in-law Russell Filiatrault; and her brother-in-law Don Constantineau.
She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly, including Scott Filiatrault, Keith (Jocelyn) Clark, Christine Filiatrault, Michael (Joanne) Filiatrault, Ian Clark, and Nicole (Rob) Montgomery.
A registered nurse for 38 years, Sharleen dedicated much of her career to Sudbury Memorial Hospital. Caring for others was not simply her profession; it was part of who she was. A healer at heart, she became a Reiki Master and practiced therapeutic touch, offering comfort, calm, and kindness in ways both seen and felt.
Sharleen will be remembered for her quick wit, generous spirit, easy laughter, vivid storytelling, and the warmth she brought into every room. She loved family gatherings in North Bay, travelling, shopping for others, lunching out, getting her hair done, and the companionship of her beloved Boston Terriers, Maxie and Dallas. Above all, she treasured her role as Nana. She took great interest in her grandchildren’s activities and accomplishments, and one of the greatest highlights of her life was being present in the operating room when Parker was born.
Her life was a beautiful blend of strength, humour, tenderness, and service. The love she gave so freely will continue to live on in the stories shared, the lessons remembered, and the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
The family would be honoured if you would join them to pay your respects, share memories, and say farewell to Sharleen.
A memorial visitation will be held at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Rd, on Friday August 28th from 10 am until 11 am. A celebration of her life will be held at 11am. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery will follow.
