Shooting Suspect arrested by North Bay Police on Lakeshore Dr
Wanted Man Arrested During Traffic Stop
A 28-year-old Brantford man who was wanted for multiple firearms offences in the Brantford area, was arrested Tuesday during an early morning traffic stop on Lakeshore Drive, North Bay.
On April 30th, at around 2:45 am, a patrol officer with the North Bay Police Service made a traffic stop on Lakeshore Drive near Fodor Street in North Bay. During the traffic stop dispatchers provided information, and through investigation, with the assistance of a second officer, it was determined that the passenger of the vehicle was wanted by Brantford Police for several firearms offences, including a shooting in December 2023.
The passenger was arrested and transported to North Bay Police Service headquarters. Transportation was arranged for the accused to be taken back to Brantford, where he was held in custody for a bail hearing.
