Showcasing Area Mining Businesses

The Northern Ontario Mining Showcase pavilion will be highlighting regional businesses at two global events this spring.
Patty Hajdu, FedNor Minister, announced over $1.3 million to help promote Northern Ontario mining businesses and organizations on the world stage.
The 11th annual Northern Ontario Mining Showcase (NOMS) pavilion will be at the 2025 Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) International Convention in Toronto in early March and then the 2025 Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy & Petroleum (CIM) annual convention in Montreal in early May.
Nearly 20 North Bay area companies are taking part in PDAC while applications for CIM closed at the end of December.
“It is exciting to see this flagship initiative is expanding so that as many businesses as possible can capitalize on this amazing opportunity,” says Anthony Rota, Member of Parliament for Nipissing–Timiskaming.
Ottawa says the two showcase events will help close to 150 businesses and organizations to increase sales and exports, access new markets and explore partnership opportunities.
Over $300,000 in FedNor funding was also used to include an 1,800 square-foot Northern Ontario pavilion at MinExpo International 2024 in Las Vegas last September.
