Simone Filiatrault

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Simone Filiatrault after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s at age 91.
Simone was born August 13, 1933, in Verner to the late Armand Filiatrault and the late Delvina Legault. She was the 8th of 12 children.
She was the dear sister of late Jean (Pam) ,late Jeanne, late Bernard (late Mercedes), late Roger (late Fernande) , late Jacques (late Jeannine) late Guy (known as père Jean-Jacques Capucin), late Gérard (known as père Richard Capucin), late Denise (Jean Drolet) ,Juliette (known as soeur Gabrielle S.A.S.V), late Louis and Gabriel (Vivian).
She will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and great nephews. They all have fond memories of eating chips and homemade onion dip when visiting her.
Simone worked for Nate Revelis for many years and then finished her career in retail working for Zellers. She devoted her life to caring for her parents, her sister Jeanne and brother Louis.
The family would like to thank the staff at Cassellholme for the great care they provided over the last 6 years. The staff has said they will miss hearing her say her favourite expression “Jeepers Creepers”.
Visitation will take place at McGuinty funeral home (North Bay) on March 28 from 4:00 to 7:00.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at St Vincent de Paul church on March 29th at 10:00.
