Six Weeks of Blasting
The city has posted a blasting notice involving the site of the new Community and Recreation Centre.
Officials say up to four blasts a day are possible at the Lakeshore Drive site with blasting operations taking place from Feb. 18 until March 31.
“The City of North Bay thanks residents for their patience and understanding as we move forward with this important phase of the project,” states a release.
Work officially began with a ribbon cutting in early December.
The new facility is expected to open in August 2026.
