Ski and snowboard season is almost here
Get your skis shined up.
Laurentian Ski Hill plans to officially open for the 2025-26 season on Saturday (Dec. 20).
Officials say it’s a milestone year as they mark 100 years of skiing, snowboarding and community fun at the hill.
They say the Beginner Hill and Slingshot will be open this weekend with more terrain opening over the Christmas holidays, as weather permits.
Holiday Hours of Operation:
- Dec. 20–24: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Christmas Day (Dec. 25): Closed
- Boxing Day (Dec. 26): 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- December 27–31: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- New Year’s Day (Jan. 1): 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- January 2-4: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
“As the hill celebrates a century of skiing, snowboarding, and community spirit, Laurentian Ski Hill extends heartfelt thanks to all, staff, visitors, volunteers, and partners who have supported it through the years,” states a release from Duncan Cornthwaite, Executive Director. “Here’s to another 100 years of tradition and fun on the slopes.

Opening day for Antoine Mountain in Mattawa is Dec. 27, with several runs expected.
