Snow Squall Watch for North Bay

A snow squall watch is in effect for North Bay, Powassan and Mattawa while a warning is in place for West Nipissing and French River.  

Environment Canada says snow squalls are possible Tuesday night and Wednesday.  

Officials say North Bay and communities east and south of the city can expect heavy snowfall with amounts near 15 cm possible.  

For the West Nipissing area snowfall amounts could be near 60 cm.

The agency says heavy and blowing snow can cause very poor visibility at times and power outages are possible with heavy snow.
