Something New
There’s something new for the 78th Lions Children's Christmas Telethon.
For the first time a live audience is being welcomed to experience the fundraising and musical event in the Canadore College G-Wing Theatre.
On November 30, the telethon will be broadcast from 2 pm to 11 pm on YouTube and from 2 pm to 7 pm on YourTV North Bay.
Officials are raising funds to provide meals and toys to families in need over the holidays.
"The Lions Children's Christmas Telethon unites the entire community at a time of year when we all need a refreshing reminder of the love that happens when we work together towards a common goal: making our children happy at Christmas," says Sam Harvey, Music Director.
This year's lineup of local talent includes:
- The Unknown
- Coveralls
- Peter Cliche
- Sam Harvey & The Hurricanes
- Ethan Sloan
- David Dino White
- Shore Acres
- Sam Depatie
- Mark Gibson
- Ireland Loeffen
- Chippewa Ravens Youth Choir
