Sonia Harling

On Tuesday June 16th 2026, Sonia ended her struggle with a sudden and unexpected illness.  She fought for 10 days with all the determination and will that her friends and family were accustomed to seeing in her everyday life.

She didn't pass from this world alone. Her children never left her side, and her best friend Tracy was there every day. A true BFF till the end.

 She leaves behind so many people who's lives were made better by her. The flowers, cards, and hand drawn pictures from her daycare kids sat close to her in her last days.

 The care she received as she fought was exemplary and warrants a heartfelt thank you to many.

 To Tracy Desrosier dedication and unwavering friendship.

To the ICU staff and especially Cheryl for everything you did to make her comfortable.

To Dr Wallace for your expert care and compassion.

To Tim and Jennifer for being there in the darkest times.

 We especially want to thank everyone at Nipissing Serenity Hospice for the angelic level of care they provided to Sonia and her family. Susan, Kate, Ashlyn, Lisa, Sandra, and all the staff are absolute saints. They took us in our darkest moment, and guided us through it with kind and gentle hearts. I cannot say enough good things about you all. Finally, Casandra for being our light in the darkness and our rock.
