Special Weather Statement

Special Weather Statement in effect: Winter storm possible Wednesday night into Thursday, with total snowfall amounts possibly exceeding 20 cm.
Poor visibility in heavy snow and local blowing snow. Beginning Wednesday night and ending Thursday.
A major winter storm is expected to affect portions of northeastern Ontario Wednesday night into Thursday.
At this point, the highest snowfall amounts are expected to remain south of the area where up to 40 cm may fall, although confidence is increasing that significant amounts of snow will reach into northeastern Ontario.
Hazardous travel conditions are likely. Motorists are urged to consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
