Sports betting could be coming to Cascades Casino North Bay
More money could soon be flowing from the casino to city hall.
A staff report says Sportsbook or Sports Betting Kiosks could be set up at the Pinewood Park Drive gaming site.
“While there are currently no confirmed dates for the introduction of sports betting at the Cascade Casino North Bay, we have been advised that the operator is considering this addition across its casino locations,” states the report, which is coming to council next week.
It goes on to say Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) is requesting an amendment to the Municipal Contribution Agreement, to make sure the city gets a share of the revenue.
Since the casino opened four years ago, the city has received $6.4 million for hosting the gaming site.

The money is used as a funding source for community capital projects.
