Stat holiday closures in effect for Christmas
It’s the holidays and that means the usual statutory closures.
Government offices, including city hall, are closed both Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
The city says the waste diversion facility is also closed both days and North Bay Transit buses are not running Thursday (Dec. 25).
They will be operating on a Sunday service schedule on Boxing Day.
Along with most retail outlets being closed on Christmas Day, the Merrick Landfill is also closed.
There’s no garbage and recycling pick-up on Thursday (Dec. 25).
It’s being delayed a day through the rest of the week.
