Steele, Evelyn  (nee: Webster)

July 10, 1931 – October 02, 2026

 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Evelyn on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Cassellholme Long-term Care Home in North Bay at the age of 95 with her loving family by her side.

 Loving mother to Marlene, Tim and Robert. Nana to Taralyne, Dana (Arnold), Natasha and Nathan. Great-grandmother to Seth, Dean, Victoria, Brooklynn, Tayvia, Ahnylah, Brantley & Bodhi.  

 Predeceased by her husband, Colvin “Smokey” Steele of New Liskeard, parents Fred and Hilda Webster of Kirkland Lake, brother Fred Webster of Toronto and Sister Ruth Mack of Sudbury.

 Having resided in North Bay for the past twenty years, Evelyn was born and raised in the Kirkland Lake area and resided in New Liskeard with her late husband before moving to North Bay to be closer to her family.  She kept busy knitting and crocheting and enjoyed cooking a large meal for family and friends.

 Evelyn's warmth and smile will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.  We will miss her dearly as well as all the special moments that made having her with us so special.

 Although you are no longer with us, your memory remains.  Rest peacefully beside Smokey.

 Family will be receiving friends at Hillside Funeral Services on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with the service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Interment at the Valleyview Cemetery in New Liskeard to take place on Wednesday, October 14 at 11:00 a.m.
