STEVENS, Richard

Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of his family at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Friday October 16, 2026, at the age of 88 years.

A well-known and respected diver, he built a legacy beneath the water that will not be forgotten.

His passion for diving took him to places few ever experience, and his name will be remembered by many in the diving community. Richard was the beloved spouse of Nicole (nee Brault) Stevens, and the loving step-father to Britney Morin (Bob) and Chelsey Sisson (Derek). He was the cherished Papa to Sophie and Olivia. Richard is predeceased by his siblings Doreen, Pearl, Ruth, Don and Lawrence, as well as his parents Joseph Stevens and Margaret (nee Carmody) Stevens.

In keeping with Richard’s wishes, there will be no formal service. Family and friends are invited to remember him in their own special ways. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the nurses at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, in particular, Shane, Stephanie, Diana, and Jen as well as Dr. Brown for all their care and compassion during this difficult time.
