Street Crime Unit Seizes over $88k in Drugs

A North Bay man remains in custody after a search warrant
A North Bay man remains in custody after a search warrant was executed at a residence on Maplewood Avenue earlier this month. A large quantity of illegal drugs was seized as a result of the investigation.
In the spring of 2024, the NBPS Street Crime Unit began to investigate an individual who was trafficking drugs out of a Maplewood Avenue home. On June 5th a search warrant was obtained and the Street Crime unit, searched the residence. A large quantity of illegal drugs was located and the male was later arrested and charged.
Darryl BEAUCHESNE, 43-years, of North Bay has been charged with:
- Two counts of Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
- One count of Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
As a result of police searches, the following was seized:
- 55.6 grams of Cocaine
- 235.3 grams of Fentanyl
- $45.00 in Canadian Currency
The value of the seized drugs was approximately $88,810.00.
The accused was held in custody, pending an upcoming bail hearing.
