Streetscapes Award Ceremony a Success

Streetscapes Award Ceremony a Success
Presentation of 3rd Place Business Award by Lori Laporte to Ontario Northland

Clean, Green, Beautiful North Bay is excited to report that the 2025 Streetscapes Season has come to a close with the successful award ceremony held on Sunday September 7th.

Hariett Madigan, CGB Chair, giving opening remarks

Held at Laporte’s Nursery and Greenhouse, the ceremony saw over 60 attendees, with top 3 winners in each category, along with businesses, neighbours, family and friends, and members of the public who came out to celebrate the wonderful achievements of fellow residents.

Over the June and July nomination period, over 170 properties received a Streetscapes nomination. Judges met over the course of August to select the finalists  in each category. The 2025 Streetscapes Judging Panel included Lori Laporte, of Laporte’s Nursery & Greenhouse, Judy Hendry, Master Gardener & Heritage Gardener, and June Charette, representing the North Bay Horticultural Society. Nominations were scored based on their adherence to the category criteria, which can be found on cleangreenbeautiful.com/streetscapes .

Clean, Green, Beautiful North Bay congratulates all winners and nominees this year! The judges remarked that it was difficult to narrow down the winners as we have so many beautiful gardens in North Bay.

“Though each unique, all our nominated and finalist properties reflect the care, creativity, and pride of those who steward them,” said Kylie-Anne Grube, Streetscapes Lead. “What made the ceremony truly special was not just the awards, but the chance to come together, share in celebration, and recognize the collective care we have for our community.”

Clean, Green, Beautiful looks forward to expanding Streetscapes and celebrating North Bay’s beautiful properties for years to come. CGB is moving into their fall initiatives such as the Fall Community-Wide Cleanup on September 19th and 20th and encourages the public to follow us on social media to stay up to date on all events.
