Streetscapes winners announced
Clean Green Beautiful North Bay is honouring the finalists and winners of this year’s Streetscapes initiative.
A recognition event was held Sunday at Laporte’s Nursery and Greenhouse.
Nipissing Serenity Hospice won the ‘Business Category’ while 921 Douglas Street won ‘Edible Garden’ honours.
532 Second Avenue was the ‘Therapeutic Garden’ winner with 714 McIntyre Street West winning ‘Overall Curb Appeal’
Officials say the annual Streetscapes initiative recognizes residents and businesses whose outdoor spaces enhance the beauty of North Bay while promoting environmental stewardship and community pride.
“Streetscapes is about recognizing the people whose care and creativity make our neighbourhoods more welcoming and beautiful,” says Hariett Madigan, Chair of Clean, Green, Beautiful North Bay. “These gardens and landscapes inspire others to get involved, whether that’s planting flowers, growing food, or simply taking pride in the place they call home.”
